 WHY STATUTUM

Where Process Meets Precision

Our approach to contract operations is methodical rather than reactive — built around the operational realities of teams managing agreements without dedicated CLM departments.

Process-First Methodology

We document what actually happens before recommending changes — mapping real flows rather than defaulting to generic frameworks.

Operations Depth, Not Surface Advice

Engagements produce working documents — runbooks, intake forms, process diagrams — not slide decks without follow-through.

Built for In-House Teams

Each engagement is scoped with your operations and finance colleagues as the primary audience — not external counsel or board stakeholders.

Tool-Agnostic Guidance

We work across the CLM software landscape and can help you evaluate options that fit your team's size, budget and workflow — without vendor affiliations.

Clear Scope, Fixed Engagements

Pricing is published and scope is defined before any work starts. No scope creep, no surprise invoices — just a clear brief and a measurable deliverable.

Singapore Operations Context

Our work is shaped by the multi-jurisdictional contracting realities common in Singapore-based organisations — cross-border agreements, bilingual workflows, regional entity structures.

 FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often from operations managers and in-house teams considering a CLM consulting engagement.

What does "contract lifecycle management consulting" actually cover?
CLM operational consulting covers the process side of how agreements move through an organisation — how they are requested, drafted, reviewed, approved, executed, stored and later renewed or terminated. Statutum focuses specifically on the operational and process layer: intake workflows, storage conventions, naming standards, tooling configuration and cross-team handoffs. We do not provide legal advice or substantive review of agreement content.
How large does our team need to be to benefit from these engagements?
The Repository Audit is useful for organisations of any size — even a team of twenty managing twenty agreements per month can benefit from cleaner storage. The Workflow Redesign Engagement is best suited for companies with 100 to 500 staff, where contracting spans multiple business units and email-based processes are showing their limits. The Retainer is for in-house operations leads who want ongoing support without bringing on a full consulting firm.
Do you recommend or integrate with specific CLM software?
We maintain no referral arrangements with any CLM software vendor. During a Workflow Redesign engagement, we produce a shortlist of tools suited to your team's size, budget and workflow requirements and support the initial configuration — but the selection decision stays with you. This means our recommendations reflect what fits your context rather than any commercial relationship.
How long does the Repository Audit typically take?
Most Repository Audits complete within two to three weeks, depending on the number of storage locations and the accessibility of your existing records. We require a brief scoping call and read access to your storage systems. The final deliverable is a written report with a prioritised improvement roadmap, which we walk through with you in a sixty-minute session.
Is the Retainer suitable if we already have some CLM processes in place?
Yes — the Retainer is designed for teams that have taken some steps toward structured contract operations but want consistent, informed support to maintain momentum, handle process questions and stay current with tooling developments. It is not a starter engagement; teams new to CLM typically begin with the Audit or Workflow Redesign.
Do you review the legal content of our agreements?
No. Statutum's scope is operational and process-related. We work with agreement metadata, workflow steps, storage conventions and tooling — not the substantive terms of your agreements. Where substantive review is needed, we refer clients to qualified providers who can assist with that work.
What information do you need before starting an engagement?
We start with a brief intake conversation — typically thirty minutes — to understand your team's size, the volume and types of agreements you manage, your current storage setup and your most pressing process pain points. From there we confirm scope, timeline and a start date. No lengthy RFP process is required for any of our three engagement formats.
